Support their choices. Understand the options. Build a clearer picture together.

01

Where would they want care?

Ask about the home, routines and relationships they want to preserve.

02

Who could realistically help?

Discuss family availability without assuming someone can become a full-time caregiver.

03

What resources are available?

Explore how savings, income and insurance may fit their goals.

PUT YOUR RESOURCES TO WORK FOR YOUR CARE

Why asset-based
long-term care?

EquiTrust Bridge® is a fixed index annuity with long-term care benefits. Explore a way to plan for care while retaining contract value and options.

Monthly cash benefits

Payments go directly to you after eligibility and claim approval. No receipts or invoices are required.

Choose care rather than wait for reimbursement.

Care that fits your life

Use benefits for care at home, assisted living or nursing care—including help from a loved one.

Your care preferences belong in your plan.

More care dollars

A coverage ratio can increase the LTC benefits supported by your premium. The ratio depends on age and underwriting class.

Ask Scott for a personalized illustration.

Wellness that adds value

Participating in NeverStop® can earn Wellness Credits that add to your long-term care benefits. Program fees apply.

Build healthy habits while adding care value.

Value beyond care

If you die with accumulation value remaining, that value can pass to your designated beneficiaries.

The benefit base is not a cash or death-benefit value.

Access when needed

Withdrawals are available. Charges, taxes, market value adjustments and reductions to LTC benefits may apply.

Understand the trade-offs before accessing funds.

Protection starts with understanding the details.

No ongoing premium payments required; rider and program fees apply. Index-linked growth potential does not mean your account value can never decrease. Withdrawals and care payments reduce value and may reduce benefits. Coverage is individual, with contract limits and vesting provisions.

CLEAR ANSWERS BEFORE YOUR NEXT STEP

Good questions.
Let’s start here.

Is Bridge traditional long-term care insurance?

No. EquiTrust Bridge® combines a fixed index annuity with a Long-Term Care Rider and the NeverStop® Health Coaching & Rewards Program. It is an insurance and annuity product, not a direct investment in a stock-market index.

Can my spouse or partner share the same coverage?

Bridge covers one owner and annuitant per contract. Each spouse or partner needs separate coverage. Continuing the base annuity after the original owner’s death does not continue that owner’s LTC or wellness riders.

When do long-term care benefits begin?

Benefits begin after contract eligibility requirements are met and the claim is approved. Requirements include chronic-illness certification and a plan of care. The inability-to-perform-daily-activities criterion includes a period of at least 90 days; this is different from an elimination period. Ongoing benefit payments require annual certification. Ask Scott to explain the conditions and vesting schedule for your contract.

Are there ongoing premiums or fees?

No ongoing premium payments are required to maintain Bridge’s LTC coverage. Costs still apply: the LTC rider has monthly charges based on attained age and underwriting class. First-year premium and annual wellness program charges also apply. Ask Scott for an illustration showing the costs.

Can the account value ever decrease?

Index credits cannot be negative, but total value can decrease because of fees, withdrawals, LTC benefit payments and applicable charges. Credited growth depends on the selected account and its caps or participation rates. The LTC benefit base follows separate rules and is not money available to withdraw.

Can benefits help pay a family member or loved one?

Bridge pays a cash indemnity benefit directly to you rather than reimbursing individual receipts. Benefits can help compensate a family caregiver. Qualification and claim requirements still apply; the tax treatment of payments depends on qualified expenses and applicable IRS limits.

What if care is already needed?

Speak with Scott before assuming a new contract can meet an existing care need. Suitability, claim requirements and the vesting schedule matter. This website does not determine eligibility or promise immediate benefits.
